In less than a week, the McDonald's in Wal-Mart in Sheridan will be closing its doors after almost seventeen years of business there. Sheridan McDonald's Owner Larry Storo explains that the new location in south Sheridan factored into the decision not to renew the lease with Wal-Mart.
Storo says that the employees at the Wal-Mart location won't be affected by the closure.
The new tenant in Wal-Mart will be Subway, this after some remodeling is done says Rock Stop Subway Manager Larry Fisher.
Fisher said that the remodeling should be complete within 30 to 60 days after moving into Wal-Mart location at the beginning of February. McDonald's last day will be next Tuesday, January 31st.
