The Inner Circle at the library was turned into a science lab Thursday morning. Sarah Mentock from Science Kids led these junior scientists in some unusual, but fun, science experiments.
Wrangling a bunch of middle-schoolers is no easy task, but Mentock had their attention with the experiments she brought in. She explains.
That first experiment had the kids “ooohing and ahhhing” over the color designs they made and these kids were getting it, the science behind colors. Joshua Thompson was captivated.
Mentock says it's never too early to build an interest in science.
After all that work in the lab, the kids were treated to a pizza lunch.
