Tuesday was judgment day for the Sheridan College bond issue, as over 5,400 voters cast ballots in the special election. Sheridan Media's Ron Richter has the story.
As soon as the results began trickling in shortly before 8 pm Tuesday night, it became apparent that voters in Sheridan County were not in support of the $15.8 million bond issue to expand and renovate the Technical Education Center on campus.
Sheridan College President Dr. Paul Young weighs in on the results of the special election.
The official results of the special election had 53 percent of voters voting against the bond issue, while 47 percent voted for the measure. Young said that they will now begin to take a look at other ways to make improvements to the Tech Center. Click here to view the official results.
