The Vacutech manufacturing facility in north Sheridan is starting to take form.

In late October of last year there was a ceremonial groundbreaking at the Hi-Tech Business Park in north Sheridan for the 40,000 square foot Vacutech building.

Vacutech, who's headquarters are in Centennial, Colorado, is a light manufacturer of vacuum systems with clients that stretch across the globe.

Sheridan Mayor Dave Kinskey says that the building is starting to take shape.

Kinskey says that the partnership between Vacutech and Sheridan College was the deciding factor in the business coming to Sheridan.

Vacutech President Tom Tucker said that they plan to employ fifteen to twenty people initially with start up, and that it's likely that further down the road that number will grow as the manufacturing facility becomes fully operational.
