The City of Sheridan will begin advertising this week for the vacant council seat for ward three. The City Council Monday night elected to open the position up to any city resident now that the council positions are at-large. City Clerk/Acting Treasurer Scott Badley says those interested in the position will have a little over a month to submit their application to the City.

Whomever the Council appoints at their April 7th meeting will serve the remainder of the year. The remaining two years of the existing term will be decided in the upcoming election in November. The ward three seat was vacated in January when Councilman Levi Dominguez announced his resignation.
