The University of Wyoming has received the hardware for a new high-performance computing center on campus. The Advanced Research Computing Center will allow UW faculty to conduct computational research. Tim Kuhfuss is UW’s director of research support for Information Technology. He says delivery of the computer culminates two years of planning and development.
The high-performance computing center will provide faculty opportunities to eventually scale up their research to use the new National Center for Atmospheric Research-Wyoming Supercomputing Center near Cheyenne.
