The University of Wyoming has received a $1 million gift from the Bernard Osher Foundation that will establish an endowment that will support scholarships for nontraditional students looking to reenter the University. Associate Dean of Students Dolores Cardona says such support is essential for older, returning students to be able to earn a bachelor’s degree.

Cardona says the Osher Foundation previously provided a two-year award of $50-thousand dollars per year that has supported a total of 36 students who reentered the University.
