Residents of Sheridan and Johnson County will have an opportunity this evening to give input on the search for the next president at the University of Wyoming. A representative with Greenwood/Asher, the consulting firm hired to assist the university with the presidential search for a new president, will be at Sheridan College this evening from 7 to 8 pm in the Whitney Building, room 136 to receive input on prospective candidates.
Along with tonight's meeting in Sheridan, there will be similar meetings this week in Casper, Gillette, Cheyenne, Powell, Rock Springs, Torrington and Riverton. The consulting firm will compile a list of applicants that will be presented to a screening committee that'll narrow the candidates down to twelve. That list will be forwarded to a second screening committee, which is in charge of trimming the candidate pool to at least five finalists by January 24th.
The UW Board of Trustees will then interview each finalist and select the new president by the end of February.
