Local FFA Officers Reach New Heights

Over the weekend, several young FFA leaders from Sheridan and Buffalo reached new heights in the Bighorn Mountains. Officers camped out at YMCA of the Bighorns Camp Roberts and spent time around Tie Hack Reservoir for a weekend dedicated to growth, goals, and new ideas.

Hatchery Fire Update

The Hatchery fire is located about 7 miles east of Tensleep. This has closed the portion of U.S. Highway 16 between Buffalo and Tensleep. The cause of the fire is still unknown.

Arden Fire 40% Contained

The Arden Fire which is burning just over the mountain 35 miles east of Greybull, is now at 40% containment. The fire crews have kept the fire from threatening any structures. They have also held the fire to 530 acres.

Big Horn Called to Fire Off 335

Two units from the Big Horn Volunteer Fire Department were called to fight a fire started when a bird was electrocuted and fell, burning, to the ground Saturday night.
