USDA Looks To Encourage Community Development

The U.S. Department of Agriculture is looking to encourage community development in the areas surrounding Sheridan.
Debra Anderson, area specialist with the USDA Sheridan Office, recently held a public informational meeting to tout the department's Community Facilities program. She said the program offers a lot of leeway to give city governments and nonprofit organizations an opportunity to improve their areas, or to build a community from the ground up.

The USDA's Community Facilities Program helps organizations with a broad range of infrastructure and equipment for community programs. For more information visit the USDA field office on Sugarland Drive, or call 672-5820, ext. 4.
