The Wyoming Department of Transportation has announced that due to inclement weather, the re-opening of U.S. 14A - a 22 mile stretch of road west of Burgess Junction - has been delayed until noon on Tuesday.
Public Information Specialist for WYDOT, Ronda Holwell, says this opening is also dependent upon weather conditions. She says currently the mountain road conditions include blowing and drifting snow with strong winds.
The mountain road usually closes every fall as hunting season ends. Holwell explains which portion of U.S. 14A closes typically until late May.
Again, dependent on weather conditions, U.S. 14A is scheduled to open at noon on Tuesday.
