The annual Ucross Fireworks Extravaganza scheduled for Tuesday night at the Ucross Foundation has been cancelled due to the danger of fire from the hot dry weather. Last week the Sheridan County Commissioners enacted partial fire restrictions, which banned the use of commercial fireworks within Sheridan County. Only the public fireworks displays in Ucross and Big Horn were to be allowed. The weather this week will continue to be dangerously hot and dry, as expected highs will range from 90 to 102 degrees over the next 7 to 10 days.
