Two Sheridan men were recently sentenced in Federal Court cases in Wyoming. 28-year-old Richard Wayne Gray was sentenced to serve a little over 11 years in prison by Federal District Court Judge Alan B. Johnson. Gray was sentenced on one count of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute, and to distribute between 500 grams and 1.5 kilograms of a mixture or substance containing a detectable amount of methamphetamine. Gray was arrested in Sheridan. Along with his prison sentence, Gray received five years of supervised probation and was ordered to pay a $200 special assessment and almost $1,000 in restitution.
Joseph A. Iverson, 35, of Sheridan, was also sentenced by Judge Johnson for obtaining substances by fraud while employed as a nurse at the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Sheridan. Iverson received two years supervised probation and was ordered to pay a $100 fine.
