Two people were treated for reportedly minor injuries, and one of them was cited for following too closely following a collision on Highway 87 near Landon's Greenhouse Thursday morning.
Wyoming Highway Patrol Trooper Kelly Broad said the incident happened shortly after 9 a.m. He said both vehicles were southbound on the highway when the driver of the first vehicle slowed for a right turn onto College Meadows Drive and was struck by the second vehicle. He said the driver of the second vehicle received the citation.
Broad said both drivers were taken by ambulance to Sheridan Memorial Hospital, along with a baby in the second vehicle. He said the baby had been properly secured in a car seat and was reported uninjured. Sheridan police were called to assist with traffic control at the accident site, and Broad said they did a fine job. Broad said the roadway was blocked for about 20 minutes.
