It has come to Sheridan Media's attention that the fire at Acme that was thought to have been contained has flared back up due to the high winds and thunderstorms in the area. Spokesmen were not able to provide specifics as to the exact situation, but our news team on the scene reports that the hills east of the highway are smouldering near the Acme Pits and that roads are blocked off. There is speculation that some homes may have been evacuated. The Ranchester, Goose Valley and Acme Fire Departments are managing this fire and it is thought that heavy rains in the locality may be of some help.
The latest reports state that there are indications that the blaze at Acme has been re-contained, although there has been no official confirmation.
The Clearmont and Big Horn Fire Departments are the responding entities for the fire burning east of Wyarno, which is thought to be near the SR Divide.
