It was the 35th annual Turkey Trot Thursday morning at Kendrick Park.
The two-point-eight mile “predict your own time” fun run four times around the park had hundreds showing up despite the thirty degree weather.
Coordinator Michelle Maneval said the Turkey Trot is a great way to begin Thanksgiving Day.
Dylin Morin was home from college. For him, the Turkey Trot was also a great way to begin his 21st birthday.
Several runners have competed in this Thanksgiving Day tradition since its beginning, including Steve Carroll.
The fun run also helped support the local homeless shelter. Each participant was asked to bring two cans of food to donate to the shelter.
