The kitchen will no doubt be a very busy place over the next few days, as there'll be many feasts prepared in preparation of Thanksgiving. The first step in preparing the bird is to thaw it out, which is something that isn't always done properly says Sheridan College Chef Tim Rockwell.
Rockwell said that the equation can be affected by the amount of food that's already in your refrigerator. So what to do if the bird isn't all the way thawed when it's time to pop it in the oven?
Another tip is to soak the turkey for a couple of hours the morning that you'll be cooking the bird. For more turkey tips with Chef Rockwell, click here.
