The swearing-in ceremony for Senator-Elect Dave Kinskey of Sheridan will be held this morning, at 8:30, in the Senate Chambers of the Wyoming Capitol in Cheyenne.
Chief Justice James Burke of the Wyoming Supreme Court will administer the oath of office and Senate President Tony Ross will preside over the ceremony.
The Wyoming Constitution Article 6 Sections 20 and 21 provide that new legislators will take their oath of office in the legislative chamber in which they will serve.
The Sheridan and Johnson County Commissioners appointed Kinskey on July 7 to fill the vacant Senate District 22 seat formerly held by Sen. John Schiffer, who died June 19. The information about the ceremony comes directly from the Wyoming Legislative Service Office.
