A trip of a lifetime is what you could dub an upcoming experience for one Sheridan County high school senior. Sheridan Media's Ron Richter has the story.
Exactly a week from today, 18-year-old Tongue River High School senior Katie Reed will be leaving for South Korea for an almost two-week tour of the countryside. Reed is going with two others from AJF Martial Arts in Ranchester. 6th Degree Black Belt in Taekwondo and Head Instructor at AJF Martial Arts, Brad Lanka explains the significance of the trip and how it came to fruition.
Meanwhile Reed, who recently achieved 2nd Degree Black Belt status and has been training with Lanka since the 3rd grade, says Taekwondo didn't always come natural to her.
Aside from the overall experience of touring South Korea, Reed says that she's looking forward to some of the training that she'll receive while overseas.
Reed and her fellow members of AJF Martial Arts will be in South Korea from April 26th through May 8th.
