Memorial lights for the Trees of Love on the front lawn of Sheridan Memorial Hospital, are now available for purchase. Sponsored by the Hospital Auxiliary, the trees provide residents the opportunity to dedicate a light in honor or memory of a friend or family member. Trees of Love Chairman Joan Kalasinsky says that for a $5 donation, there are three different types of lights that people can choose from.
Kalasinsky said that while many people purchase lights for someone who is no longer living, the lights can also be purchased for a friend, neighbor or loved one. She added that the Auxiliary will send a card to the honoree or the family informing them of the dedication. Application forms to purchase a light are available at the hospital's reception desk or at various businesses throughout the community.
The annual tree lighting open house will be Sunday, December 8 from 4 to 5 in the front lobby of the hospital. The lighting of the four trees in front of the hospital will take place at 4:45.
