The North Main Revitalization Initiative began in earnest last year. It was a successful attempt by the City of Sheridan to get neighborhoods to become active in the planning process for upcoming capital projects. The Wyoming Department of Transportation is taking a page from the City’s playbook and asking Sheridan residents to become involved in the design of the second part of the North Main Street reconstruction project. To that end, WYDOT is holding a forum tonight at the Best Western Sheridan Center.
That’s WYDOT spokesperson Ronda Holwell. The project she is referring to will include work on Main Street from the railroad crossing north to Interstate 90 and the complete reconstruction of the interchange there.
The WYDOT State Improvement Plan has tentatively scheduled the project for the year 2015, but that could be pushed back based on the availability of funding. Tonight’s meeting begins at 5 o’clock.
