The Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce Workforce Development Committee is offering free training to employers and supervisors in Sheridan about the benefits of having a drug-free workplace and how to enforce anti-drug policies. Theresa Detimore, Director of Program Development for the Chamber, says this class can save employers money.
Detimore said the course will cover all aspects of enforcing a drug-free workplace, including warning signs that employees may be using, how to conduct testing, administrative requirements, and legal restrictions.
The drug-free workplace course will be held twice on April 2 in the Sheridan College CTEL Auditorium. The morning class is from 8 to 10, and the evening class is from 5-7. Register for either session by calling the Chamber of Commerce at 672-2485 .
