Traffic Stop, Chase Ends in Crash, Arrest Near Buffalo

A traffic stop, chase and a subsequent crash ended in the arrest of the driver south of Buffalo Monday afternoon.
At around 3 pm, Johnson County Sheriff's deputies attempted to make a traffic stop on a vehicle on Cemetery Road, when the driver sped off and attempted to turn onto Old Highway 87 southbound.

The car then crashed through a section of fence adjacent to the soccer fields at Buffalo High School, veered back onto the roadway and proceeded southbound on Highway 87.

Sheriff's deputies continued pursuit to approximately Trabing Road, where the driver of the vehicle crashed and was apprehended.

According to the Buffalo/Johnson County dispatch center, the investigation is being handled by the Wyoming Highway Patrol and no information had been received at their Cheyenne office as of 5pm Monday evening.
