Johnson County's Trabing Road Project is nearing completion, and County Road and Bridge Supervisor Scott Pehringer is pleased with how the project has progressed, the minimal amount of problems, and the beatiful new piece of road the county now has because of the project.

The Trabing project was essentially a safety upgrade, Pehringer said, correcting some vertical and horizontal tangents on the roadway, widening and of course, paving.

Three and a half miles of the project have been paved so far, according to Pehringer, and grading and prep work continue on the remainder of the roadway in preparation of paving the remaining 4.7 miles, which is scheduled to begin September 24th.

The Trabing Road Project reworked 8.2 miles of roadway from just east of Interstate 25 to ½ mile past the intersection with Middle Fork Road.
