Officials with Sheridan Memorial Hospital hosted a tour of the new Welch Cancer Center Friday, giving the local media an opportunity to get a “sneak peek” at the state-of-the-art facility. Sheridan Media's Ron Richter was there and has the story.
Much of phase one of the project is nearly complete, as final punch lists are being performed throughout the 16,000 square foot facility. Welch Cancer Center Manager Jennifer Pfister says that the number one improvement will be additional space for the patients.
Pfister explains what phase two of the project will consist of.
Pfister said that they are hoping to start seeing patients at the new building the week of April 23rd. The total project cost of both phases of the new Welch Cancer Center is $8.4 million.
