UPDATE 7/23 A follow up story with more information is available at http://www.sheridanmedia.com/new....

Based on growing enrollment at Tongue River Elementary, and approval of funding from the state's School Facilities Commission, the school is slated to have a bigger building constructed to accommodate more students.

Superintendent for Sheridan County School District 1, Marty Kobza, explains.

He says the entire district is excited about the expansion project because Tongue River is in dire need of additional space. $10 million in funding from the School Facilities Commission was approved by the legislature, following district business manager Jeremy Smith's April visit to Casper to seek the funding.
