After a little more than two days of filming that included a lengthy process of camera maneuvering to make sure and catch each step that goes into making bits, spurs and buckles, the Discovery Channel completed filming at Tom Balding Bits and Spurs in Sheridan.

Tom Balding said that it took a lot of time to set up lighting and each shot for each step involved, but that he was pleased with the overall experience. The Discovery Channel is featuring Balding for their show, How it's Made.

Balding says that the editing process will be a long one before the show will air.

He added that when the show does air, Discovery Channel producers told him that they would like dedicate a segment of a separate half-hour show to each item he made.

The Discovery Channel also filmed Wayne Hape, local leather craftsman, and King Ropes to see how lariat ropes used in rodeo competition are made.
