For those fans that love volleyball, Sheridan was the place to be. Saturday was the 1st ever Weston Johnson Memorial Invite, an AAU traveling volleyball tournament for girls age 16 and under.
Hosted by the newly formed Sheridan Volleyball Club, President Jeff Bowie says the tournament was a big success.
The proceeds go towards the Weston Johnson Memorial Foundation.
Over 600 kids were in Sheridan over the weekend just for volleyball. In the planning since January, Jennifer Destefano helped coordinate the event.
Games were played at Sheridan High School, the Junior High and Highland Park School.
