Three From Wyoming Dead in Crash in Northern Colorado

ROCKPORT, Colo. (AP) - Three young people from Wyoming are dead and two others are injured after their car crashed in northern Colorado. The crash happened early Thursday morning after the driver failed to negotiate a curve on U.S. Highway 85 in rural Weld County about seven miles south of the Wyoming border.

The Colorado State Patrol says two 21-year-old males and a 19-year-old female died. Another female, believed to be in her 20s, was taken to the hospital in Greeley with life-threatening injuries. A 22-year-old man, believed to be the driver of the 2013 Hyundai sedan, was taken to the hospital in Cheyenne. Their conditions weren't immediately known. Authorities are still working to identify the victims but all are believed to be from Cheyenne. Speeding is suspected of contributing to the crash.
