Three very deserving individuals were honored Thursday night at the 1st annual Keystone Awards to benefit the Sheridan Senior Center. Darlene Elliot, Dr. Seymour Thickman and Roman Skatula were honored for their timeless commitment to the Sheridan community throughout the years. We had a chance to hear briefly from each of the honorees at the end of the evening. Darlene Elliot provided this reaction to being honored.

As far as Dr. Thickman's response, lets just say he borrowed a quote from a former "Bronx Bomber".

Roman Skatula said that the evening was so much more than what he'd anticipated and expected.

Sheridan Senior Center Development Director Rindy West was pleased with the way the community supported the event and that they plan on making it an annual event.

West said that they had about 270 people in attendance for the inaugural event. All of the proceeds from the Keystone Awards will go to support the various programs and services provided by the Sheridan Senior Center.
