There Have Been Ten Deaths On Wyoming's Highways In Less Than A Week

A recent string of fatalities have occurred on Wyoming Highway's over the past week. Sheridan Media's Ron Richter has the story.

Last weekend there were five fatalities, including one on Interstate 90 near Sheridan Sunday. There have been five more since the weekend, bringing the total for the year to 60.

While that number is a bit lower when compared to this time last year, seven in less than a week's time has officials with the Wyoming Highway Patrol concerned.

State Troopers will once again take part in Operation C.A.R.E. this holiday weekend, and Sgt. Stephen Townsend says the public can do their part in keeping the highways safe by calling in a Reddi report at 1-800-442-9090.

Townsend said that last year over the July 4th holiday, there were three fatalities in the state and that they'd like to see that number reduced to zero this year.
