The deadline to file your 2009 tax return is looming, as April 15th is only days away. IRS Spokesperson Karen Connelly says that filing for an extension is a pretty simple procedure if done on-line.
Connelly explains what taxpayers should do if they owe and are unable to pay by midnight on the 15th.
Connelly points out that e-filing is becoming the preferred method for taxpayers to use to file their returns.
Connelly said that e-filing and having your return electronically deposited usually takes no more than 10 days, while filing a paper return through the mail will take at least 2-3 weeks before your check arrives.
