As April approaches there's still time to get your taxes done and Sheridan College is there to help as they will offer their second to last income tax preparation session today from 1 to 5 pm.
SC business instructor Tracy Dearinger runs the tax help program with about 10 tax preparation certified students. She says that it is required that you bring your social security card and cards for any dependents. Because of increasing cases of identity theft, Dearinger said they will not be able to do taxes without them.
If you've put off your taxes and are looking for a quick way to get them done, Dearinger explains that they are offering something new this year in the online tax preparation services.
There is an income limitation of $57,000. The last tax help day will be Saturday April 14 from 9 am to 1 pm. Sessions are held in the Whitney Building at Sheridan College, room W139B.
