The 2nd Annual “Taste of Sheridan” was a home run as hundreds filled Thorne Rider Stadium Sunday evening. Lined up in booths along both infield base lines, 17 Sheridan area restaurants and caterers showcased their specialties, and it was all done to raise community awareness of the North Main Development and Revitalization plan.

Deemed as Wyoming’s largest family picnic, it was neighbor rubbing shoulders with neighbor, taste testing the incredible variety – and hefty portions – of food offered.

Event coordinator Melissa Butcher explained how Taste of Sheridan worked.

This was Maureen Humphrys first time to give Taste of Sheridan a taste test.

The event also featured live music and kid’s games set up in the outfield. Net proceeds from Taste of Sheridan go to help the City of Sheridan implement its vision for the North Main area.

And taking the first-ever "Best of" traveling trophy this year: Sheridan Memorial Hospital, for their beef tenderloin w/red pepper and lobster sauce.
