The Sheridan County Capital Facilities Tax Task Force has launched an informational website at www.sheridancountycaptax.com containing detailed information on the Capital Facilities Tax , referred to as the Cap Tax election slated for November 5.
Sheridan County Commissioner Steve Maier says the purpose of the website is to help ensure that Sheridan County voters go to the polls with a thorough understanding of the past and proposed future uses of the Capital Facilities Tax throughout the county.
The site features an interactive map of past Cap Tax projects, which allows visitors to zoom in on infrastructure projects throughout the county. Clicking on individual projects brings up a detailed project description, the total project cost, and the portion of the project funded by the Cap Tax.
Visitors to the site can also view frequently asked questions, lists of projects by community, a copy of the official ballot, and a schedule of upcoming Cap Tax presentations throughout the county.
