The Buffalo Swim Club will have their annual duck race fundraiser Saturday morning, April 30.
The race will take place in Clear Creek in Buffalo beginning at 10am.
The ducks will be dumped into the creek in Washington Park and will finish downtown.
Ed Von Holst, with the Buffalo Swim Club, explains.
Each raffle ticket has a number that corresponds to a numbered duck, and prizes, donated by local businesses, will be awarded during the race.
April Poley, also with the Buffalo Swim Club, tells us how the prizes are awarded.
The duck race is one of two fundraisers for the club, the other being their annual swim meet at the YMCA.
The funds raised go towards offsetting expenses for the swim club, such as fees for renting the YMCA pool, salaries for coaches, travel expenses for the club and helping with keeping swimmers' participation fees low.
