Denise Krochta knows the pain of having an addict for a teen-age son. She has just written the book, “Sweat,” offering a plan, a plan she followed herself, for dealing with an addict in the family.
She says you can't blame yourself.
Her son is now 28, in his eighth year of recovery. The journey wasn't easy nor cheap and she says don't expect instant results.
Krochta's son was addicted to prescription drugs and she gives this warning.
One added piece of advice.
Using or sharing drugs prescribed for someone else is illegal.
