Wyoming was ranked #1 in the nation for suicides per capita in 2012, and with one month left in the calender year, statistics indicate that the dubious distinction could remain with the state for another year. Thom Gabrukiewicz is the Community Prevention Specialist with the Prevention Management Organization of Wyoming and he says that the numbers continue to be alarming.
As we reported last week, the International Survivors of Suicide Day broadcast will take place Saturday morning and will include over 300 conference sites around the world. One of those sites will be the Sheridan County Fulmer Library.
Registration will be at 10:45, with the broadcast to start at 11 o'clock. It will take place in the Inner Circle room of the Fulmer Library in Sheridan.
