The City of Sheridan Planning Commission approved the Sugarland Marketplace II Subdivision Monday night, which will re-subdivide two lots of the Sugarland South Addition into four lots for commercial development. The subdivision request included a variance pertaining to the installation of sidewalk on the south side of Sugar Lane. City Planning Director Robert Briggs explains that the varience has to do with the original subdivision that created the land and area for Walmart in 1989.
The request for the subdivision came from the owners of Albertsons shopping center development; Gillette Retail Owner, L.C. The lots range in size from 0.457 acres to 3.541 acres. The subdivision will also dedicate a privately owned piece of Sugar Lane to the public.
