The Sheridan College Massage Therapy Club is volunteering their time and hands to the community to promote Massage Therapy Awareness Week. Student therapists are posted in front of the Sheridan College C-TEL Auditorium to offer free, 15-minute chair sessions to the college population and general public at 12:30 and 5:30 p.m. Hannah Salsbery, one student working in support of the week's cause, which is sponsored by the American Massage Therapy Association, said studies have shown massage has many benefits.

Salsbery said she chose her course of study to enable her to take a hands-on approach to helping others.

If you haven't experienced the benefits of massage, now's the time for your free, 15-minute indoctrination into relaxation. Once again, massage times in front of the C-TEL auditorium this week are 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. and 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.
