The second of four street festivals closed off Main Street in Sheridan last night. The crowds have grown since the first of the festivals last month. What do people think of the downtown festivals?
Food vendors and live music filled Grinnell Plaza. It also appeared that more businesses had booths out on the street. Chad Franklin tells us why they decided to hold the festivals in the first place.
Organizers had asked the City to expand the area in which alcohol was allowed, but the City Council denied their request at the first meeting in July. Alcoholic beverages are still allowed in the Grinnell Plaza portion of the festival. The next 3rd Thursday Street Festival will be on August 20th.
