There was a good turnout at the Sheridan County public workshop on proposed supplemental specifications to septic systems in the Story area.

The Story Women's Club was a full house Tuesday night for the Sheridan County septic system management public workshop. Along with representatives with the County, Tom Pilch with Pilch Engineering and Mike Evers with WWC Engineering were on hand to present the proposed supplemental specifications for septic systems and on-site wells for the Story area.

Sheridan County Public Works Director Rod Liesinger explains that the biggest specification change that they are proposing has to do with the leach field absorption system.

Liesinger points out that the latest study that was completed by WWC Engineering in 2009 affirms that something needs to a be done.

County Commissioner Mike Nickel says that they will continue to work with the residents of Story to address the problem.

Both Nickel and Liesinger indicated that the County will continue to take public input and work with the citizens of Story throughout the entire process.
