A Story man was killed Sunday after wrecking his pickup truck on Interstate 90 just six miles from Sheridan less than a mile from the Meade Creek exit. 30 year-old David Wayne Wallace died from his injuries after being transported to Sheridan Memorial Hospital.
Sergeant Stephen Townsend with the Wyoming Highway Patrol explains what happened.
Wallace was driving a 2003 Ford F-250. At this point the exact time of the wreck is unknown, but it happened some time on Sunday morning. Sergeant Townsend says an investigation into the reason for the wreck is ongoing.
Kane Funeral Home says a memorial service to honor Wallace will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 11 at the Story Community Church with Pastor John Constantine officiating. A lunch reception will follow the service at the Story Women's Club.
Donations to honor Wallace may be made to Sharon Wallace, P.O. Box 278, Story, WY 82842.
