It's become a great way to end the summer, in the cool of a mountain village. This weekend is the 24th Annual Story Days. The theme of this year's Story Days is “Story Book Tales” and Patty Jingles outlines the activities for Friday – Day 1 of the event.
The Art Station will also have an open house from 5 – 8 pm.
Saturday is the big day, with activities running from 7 am through 8 pm and beyond. Jingles describes the events leading up to the parade.
Grand Marshals for the parade are Dick and Patty Hoover.
Saturday afternoon, Jingles says.
Also Saturday, the Teka Brock Band will be playing at 6 pm at the Wagon Box, and the afternoon also includes a horseshoe tournament, an antique car display, chicken roping, mutton busting, a duck race and a family movie at 8 pm, which will be shown at the Story School.
The weekend finishes up Sunday with a church service in Story Centennial Park at 11, followed by a potluck lunch, family activities live music and a softball game.
