A recent statewide poll conducted by the University of Wyoming shows that residents oppose proposed changes in Medicare and disapprove of the Affordable Care Act known as “Obamacare.”
UW Professor of Political Science Jim King says that the health care law remains more unpopular in Wyoming than in the U.S. as a whole.
Statewide, only 27 percent of the respondents favored changing Medicare, while 66 percent disapproved of the health care law. The statewide telephone survey of 668 Wyoming citizens was conducted in October by UW’s Survey Research Center.
