Ninety soccer teams from across Wyoming filled the twenty-one fields at the Equestrian Center this past weekend for the Wyoming State Championship for Youth Soccer.
Dismal and rainy weather didn't dampen the excitement and energy in the youth ages 8-14.
Dalton Legerski plays for the Sheridan Storm with Coach Tony Kassen, and knows first hand the challenge of in the rain.
Tournament director Jimmy Legerski says folks enjoy coming to the Equestrian Center for soccer.
On site, there's room for fifty campers, and most soccer families headed to Buffalo or stayed in Sheridan, which helps the local businesses.
For Dalton, there's definitely some good reasons for playing soccer.
Next year's soccer tournament will be played in Casper.
