The Sheridan County Sportsmen's Association is hosting the Wyoming State Trap Shoot competition next week.
Bob Prill has been the president of the association from 1979, and he explains the state shoot comes to Sheridan every four years. Though there's a strong base of local support for the club, upward of 900 members from around the county, the competition will also draw shooters from around the country.
Though a lagging economy has resulted in dwindled participation, Prill says he is expecting some VIP guests from the world of shooting.
The competition will be at the gun club July 3-7.
