CHEYENNE, Wyo. – The state tourism department has hired a woman from Colorado with family ties to Wyoming to fill a newly created position charged with marketing the state to a larger national and international audience. AnnDrea Boe comes to the position with seven years of experience developing the SparkFun Electronics brand.
According to a release from the Wyoming Office of Tourism, it was Boe's energetic spirit that shined through the interview as she explained how she created a brand strategy from the ground up for the small start-up business.
She said she started with a new logo, repositioned the brand, developed a creative team and used non-traditional methods like digital and social media to create a loyal following.
As she joins the state's tourism department later this month, she'll be charged specifically with leading marketing and brand strategy for the only statewide destination marketing organization dedicated to growing Wyoming's tourism economy.
The newly created position was born out of organizational assessment led by the Coraggio Group, a consulting firm that focuses on strategic planning in destination marketing organizations.
