State Quilt Convention in Sheridan

It only happens once every five years in Sheridan and that's the convention for the Wyoming State Quilt Guild. Held at the Sheridan College Golden Dome over the weekend, over 200 quilts were on display.

And they were a sight to behold, an art form in their own right. Quilt show chairperson, Jennifer Golden defines quilting.

It can take a few days or a few years to make a quilt, but it's not all about making a quilt, Golden says it's also about the quilter.

For Julia Stellingwerf, quilting is a source of stress relief.

In addition to the show, participants could take an array of quilting classes from 24 teachers on hand.
