Sheridan and Johnson County state legislators will sit through a two-day forum in Sheridan City Council Chambers next Tuesday and Wednesday to hear short presentations on constituent issues before they head to Cheyenne to begin the next legislative session. Chamber of Commerce Director, Dixie Johnson, says next week's forums provide unique access to elected officials.
The forums will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day, and all time slots are currently filled with presenters. Johnson said there is a waiting list, and constituents can always e-mail their representatives to weigh in on important issues before the session begins.
Both days of forums will be broadcast and re-broadcast on cable channel 12. City Council Chambers will be open to the public as well. The Chamber of Commerce will publish the forum schedule when it becomes available.
